Marjorie K. Eastman on House Democrats’ Passage of BBB

Cary, NC – Marjorie K. Eastman, U.S. Senate candidate and combat veteran, released the following statement after Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats passed the “Build Back Better” spending bill.

“The House of Representatives passage of President Biden’s so-called ‘Build Back Better’ program is simply an incumbent protection spending spree that increases our national debt, raises taxes on middle class Americans, and will add to the record-breaking inflation rates we have seen since Biden took office.

“Instead of addressing the deficit and bringing spending in check, career politicians have used this bill to hire 87,000 more IRS agents, give massive taxpayer funded payouts to illegal immigrants, and increase taxes on small businesses and working families.

“It is clear the career politicians who got us into this mess, will never get us out of it. That is why we need fresh thinking and a new generation of frontline leadership in Washington.”
