Cary, NC – Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa joined Marjorie K. Eastman this past weekend as she campaigned for the U.S. Senate in Transylvania County. Like Eastman, Sen. Ernst is a former combat veteran. The two paired up in Brevard for a meet and greet with supporters where both spoke about the importance of sending the right kind of leader to Washington.
“Marjorie K. Eastman has exactly what it takes to win this race and be a strong defender of North Carolina in the U.S. Senate,” said Senator Ernst. “When I first met Marjorie she struck me as a woman who knew the mission at hand and wasn’t afraid of taking on a big fight. I am happy to support her; Marjorie is the exact kind of person we need in Washington to get things done.”
Eastman added, “I couldn’t be more excited to have had Sen. Ernst in North Carolina supporting my campaign. I have always admired Sen. Ernst’s service to our country in combat and now in the U.S. Senate. Her leadership is what our country so desperately needs and she is someone I will strive to be like when I am elected to the U.S. Senate. Having Sen. Ernst in North Carolina shows the momentum is on our side and we are going to win this race.”
